Eric Dozier

Soul, Gospel & BluesComposer & Choir Leader

Eric Dozier is a composer, bandleader, and educator who uses music to gather people into the same room — and the same song. His signature blend of “Down and Dirty Blues, Socially Conscious Soul, and Spirit-Fueled Gospel” has carried him around the world, and he is the founder and CEO of Mobile Soul Café, an event-production company and online community built around music that brings people together.

He has served as musical director for the world-famous Harlem Gospel Choir, developed curriculum for the National Museum of African American Music, and is the historian and co-composer of the Broadway-bound production The Ballad of Henry “Box” Brown. A featured artist at the United Nations on several occasions, he has shared the stage with Harry Belafonte, Angelique Kidjo, and Nelson Mandela.

He joins the summit doing what he describes as building “pockets of peace” — a set grounded in his mission of “showing the world what community sounds like,” a fitting voice for a gathering about building across differences.
